From Oct. 2 to 4 2023 Longarone Fiere Dolomiti organized the “Expo Dolomiti HoReCa” and “Dolomiti Show” informative and exhibition event, the exhibition for inner areas tourism SMEs (mountain areas) and catering. In attendance were 170 exhibitors representing nearly 200 brands; the exhibitors are suppliers of goods and services to hoteliers, restaurateurs coming from 11 Italian regions and from 13 foreign countries. More than 300 tourism SMEs and service providers have visited the event. Specifically, the attending exhibitors were software, technologies and services providers, that have been the driving force in terms of innovative and more effective offers within the tourism sector during the pandemic and post-covid period.
LFD organised one event dedicated to DIGITOUR “Tourism SMEs’ future in EU policies. Moving from theory to practice: case histories of the DIGITOUR LFD partner projects and EU RURAL TOURISM LFD associate partner”, where international speakers have been invited and as well our Voucher 1 and 2 beneficiaries, together with their digital providers.
” Expo Dolomiti HoReCa is for hoteliers and restaurateurs in the Dolomites, and companies that supply this important sector with goods and services. Tourism in the Dolomites is constantly growing, hence the need for a meeting place for developing new opportunities between HoReCa providers and hotels, catering companies and restaurants.
Why Expo Dolomiti HoReCa?
With the assigning of the Alpine World Ski Championships in 2021 and the 2026 Olympic Games to Cortina, the area is continuously developing, especially in terms of tourism.
What is Expo Dolomiti HoReCa?
The exhibition is located in a hall at the main entrance of Longarone Fiere with direct access to the trade fair grounds. Companies have the opportunity to exhibit and set up a stand with their own equipment or to choose a solution from the catalog proposed by the organization. This first edition of Expo Dolomiti HoReCa will be held in conjunction with the Dolomiti Show, the third edition of an important event that has become a benchmark for people working in tourism in the Dolomites. Dolomiti Show hosts the event “Buy Veneto Speciale Montagna” (special mountain edition of promoting Veneto fare) which, at the previous edition, showcased the accommodation facilities of the Belluno province to international buyers, conferences on cycling tourism, sustainable mobility, and on tours in the area. Also, workshops were held on obtaining funding from the Veneto Region. With administrations of the Veneto Region, Province of Belluno, DMO Dolomiti and the Unesco Dolomites Foundation participating, there was a fruitful discussion on how to improve mountain hospitality and related offerings. The event is also supported by Trade Associations such as Ascom, Coldiretti, Confagricoltura, Confartigianato and Confindustria of the Province of Belluno, which involve all operators in the area. Longarone Fiere wants sets out to create a meeting venue for companies providing HoReCa goods and services.

This event stems from the need to create a meeting venue for hotels, catering companies and restaurants in the Dolomites area. B2B meetings, workshops, get-togethers and conferences make up the first edition of this trade fair, which, in this first edition, aims to lay the foundations for a regular annual meeting.”
