Zaragoza hosted the event ‘DIGITOUR: Forging and Financing the Digital Future of Tourism’ and brought together prominent representatives of the Aragonese tourism sector.
TSAC and the Research, Development and Innovation Cluster of Aragon (IDiA) organised this event that brought together numerous representatives of the Aragonese tourism sector on January 9, including public authorities and technological companies.
Both clusters work together with organizations from six European countries in the COSME DIGITOUR Project, an essential platform for small and medium-sized tourism businesses that aims to support the evolution of the tourism sector by improving the digital capabilities of tourism SMEs.
The project, supported by the European Union, has demonstrated Aragón’s success in leading tourism digitalization in Spain, allocating 42% of the project funds to Spanish consortia and benefiting 62% of Aragonese SMEs. DIGITOUR has also promoted the creation of intersectoral and cross-border consortia with the participation of Aragonese SMEs and also other autonomous communities, reinforcing the strength of this sector in Aragon at the national and international level.
